TAIWAN EPISODE: WEDDING OF JING WEN & YA-TING AT KAO HSIUNG, TAIWAN

Sometimes in life, you don't know who you'll meet.

Jing Wen has always been a fan of David Tao. And Jing Wen told himself, one day if he gets married, he must sing this song "爱很简单" to that person he love the most! Since he can't afford David Tao, he'll get his backing vocalist David Tan to play for him hahaha~



恭喜恭喜! Congratulations to Jing-Wen & Ya-Ting! Thank you for sharing with us a whole new experience of a Taiwan wedding and warm hearted people showing us so much love! 

To sum up our work trip at Kao Hsiung, it was really an eye opener! 

Firstly, when you arrive at the wedding, you are given a goodie bag, they call it 喜饼. It's all packed nicely in an elegant box. 

The banquet starts as early as 6.45pm and the banquet manager is the host of the wedding and the standard is like a pro! We were truely impressed. 

After the 1st March-in, the couple had their cake cutting followed by champagne popping straight away and nuptial toast. Then they invited both parents (双方家长 only) to do a toast to everyone by saying "恭喜" as loud as you can, the louder the more blissful it will be for the couple. 

After the toast, the dinner commences. They had a 12 course dinner. Wow! We then had our 1st set of live music performance. 

When the couple are done changing into their 2nd outfit, they continued their 2nd March-in. As they walked in they gave out little sweet packets. When they get onto the stage, they gave their speech. The next thing you know, all their relatives and close friends went up on stage to congratulate the couple publicly (Yes! With the mic). They will call up groups of people to give their wishes and sing for the couple! It is really a different culture here, the taiwan folks are more outspoken. 

The whole wedding feels very heart warming and sincere as compared to some of our local weddings. We are grateful for this wonderful experience and opportunity! Special thanks to Esmond for all the arrangements and the opportunity. We had loads of fun! Wishing you both a happy and blissful marriage! 祝你们早生贵子!

The highlight of the wedding is definitely the touching song which Vincent sang for Shanice after his speech. It's a tailored song "想你，爱你，等你" written for both of them by #DavidTan and Vincent delivered it really well! It made us tear with happiness!

ORIENTAL THEME WEDDING OF CASSIUS & KYM

When Cassius & Kym came to us, we had no idea they were doing an Oriental Theme Wedding. They didn't expect it either!

They initially took up our all time favourite signature band, "Perfect Harmony", a 3-Pcs band featuring Fong, Si Ling & Erick Tan. Voices of 3 people in harmony, with our multi-talented Erick Tan playing both keyboard and guitar alternately depending on genre of songs and covering great tunes over the decades with a mixture of oldies, evergreens & Top 40s.

Perfect Harmony is the perfect group for weddings where you have guests from different age groups and dilect. The trio cover songs in bilingual, cantonese, hokkien and some korean. They never fail to entertain your guests.

Until nearing to the big day, Kym said that they've engaged a wedding stylist who will be styling an oriental theme for their wedding and they would like us to go along with the theme. Immediately I said, sounds great!!

We had some discussions and we decided to add on a Guzhen to complement the band. On that day we all dress up in our cheong sums and mandarin collar tops for Erick. To spice things up, Kym chose some 中国风 songs for the band's playlist. It was a very interesting night for everyone.
